Hymn 4 – Be Still
Hymn 5 – Teach me to Dance

barryThe Message was given by Barry Robinson.
James Galway the flautist, sought perfection in all he did.  He never wanted to give a shoddy performance. What really matters in life? Some people never ask this question. Some think we should just eat, drink and be merry. Ecclesiastes 8:15. So what in life really matters to us? Our bank balances, relationships, parties?  There are 2 scriptures in Philippians. Which one describes us? 2:21. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ.  1:21. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Will our legacy be that we lived for Christ? We read in 2 Timothy 1:15 that some deserted Paul. Onesiphorus was known as the “refresher”as he
helped Paul. Verse 16. We need to follow his example and be a “refreshing” type of Christian. Paul tells Timothy that he must be ready to endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ. Be like an athlete who must be determined to win but also has to obey the rules.  Or a farmer, who must work very long hours. 2 Timothy 2:1-6.  We must not be a sluggard, but dedicate ourselves to Bible study and prayer. Proverbs 20:4. Do not get discouraged. Read Hebrews 12:1-3.  2 Timothy 2:11-13. If Christ really lives within us, then we will be prepared to live this different Christian lifestyle. We know that if we endure, then we shall receive a crown of glory and reign with Christ. verse 12.

The Final Hymn was Onward Christian Soldiers after which the Closing Prayer was given by Bill Wilson

There was Children’s Church during the Sermon time.
