2014-06-21 Watford Service-Children's Church 1

Children’s church took place during the Service and was led by Geoff and Jean Sole. On the 21st of June the Watford Young People’s Church looked at ‘Heroes of the New Testament’. They considered Peter, Mary (the mother of Jesus), Joseph, Matthew, Zacchaeus, John the Baptist, Joseph of Arimathea, Nicodemus, the Good Samaritan, the poor widow, Mary (Martha’s sister), the Samaritan leper and the Centurion in Capernaum. After they had discussed all of them they then enjoyed a puzzle where they had to join up the names with a short description of each person. They did a short impromptu play of Mary and Martha when Jesus visited them. They also learnt a little about the ruins of many churches at Clonmacnoise, a fifth century A.D. Christian centre in the middle of Ireland on the crossroads of the road from Dublin to Galway (east west) and the river Shannon (north south). They also enjoyed some chocolate bought on the Dublin ferry!

Fellowship continued after the Service in the Church Hall.
