*This is a time when we can celebrate that your son has covered us with his blood and we thank you for his righteousness that is imparted to us
*Thank you for the National Health Service which benefits so many people
*Thank you for a church where we can hear the sounds of children and we want our congregation to be attractive to all ages.  We yearn for a congregation where people can feel your love
Sue Ann*We ask you to forgive us our sins and help us to submit ourselves to you and the power of your Spirit
*We forget that we don’t need to worry and be fearful, give us your peace
*Be with the grieving family of the young girl whose body has just been found and also with the family of allan Fenney who has been murdered by terrorists—comfort and help them.  You saw your own son die and you know their suffering.  Help us to trust in you who are the answer to every problem
*The Halford family are going through a very difficult trial and we ask that you would be with John and his family.  We know this body is just temporary but more time for him to use the amazing gifts and skills would be a miracle that could startle people and turn hearts to you.
*Harry Sullivan has not been well recently and we ask you to heal him
*Give Margaret peace and comfort at this time that the care people will treat her with respect, gentleness and kindness.
*Others who cannot come to Services through illness include Jack Stokes, Valerie Philo & Joan Esom and we ask that you be with them.
*We remember also Paul and others grieving the loss of loves ones.  Give them a clear vision of the hope we have in you.  We thank you for the life of those who died.
Rebecca & Nancy singing The Lord's Prayer*Thank you for the healing of Lorraine Wilson and Brittany of the Christ church Congregation.  Also James Newby, that his kidney is all clear.
*You are the living God and we ask that you help us to be the examples we should be and reach out to a hurting world.

Hymn 4.  By Faith

An Offering was taken up while Nancy Silcox and Rebecca Woolford sang a duet, The Lord’s Prayer.  Winston Bothwell asked a Prayer of Blessing over the Offering.

Hymn 5.  At One With God

The Sermon was given by David Silcox, who spoke Atonement.  If you visit the Louvre Art Museum in Paris and see some of the great and large paintings up close, you will see small scenes within the great picture that you didn’t notice from afar.  Scripture gives us details that form part of the big canvas of God’s big picture plan.  Leviticus 16 gives us the scene at the temple when once a year the priest entered the Holy of Holies to offer for the peoples’ sins.  The ceremony was full of symbolism from the white linen the priest wore to the goats sacrificed.  so much of these rituals reflect God’s love and mercy that are bourne out in Hebrews 7:27 which says Jesus was sacrificed once for all.  This shows the big picture and contrasts earthly/spiritual analogies.  Jesus entered once by his own blood to obtain eternal redemption not just covering sins but removing them Hebrews 9:11-15 & 10:11.  Jesus is our atonement.  We no longer participate in the rituals of bulls and goats, but look to our Great High Priest, Jesus, who removes our sins and gives us atonement and Eternal Life
David speakiingThe final Hymn was All Hail The Power after which the Closing Prayer was led by George Henderson

Fellowship continued over refreshments in the church hall.

There was no Children’s Church today.
