Readings:  The Children were invited to line up at the front and the microphone was passed to each of them.  They each read a section from the Bible with reference to a passage about a baby, child or young person in the Bible.  Some were long passages such as the one about the little maid who helped Naaman, and some were just a word or two.

2015-02-28 Ricki Fowler speaks about Children's ChurchRicki Fowler spoke about Children’s or Young People’s Church in Watford.  This is a wonderful programme that helps the children learn about God and how they can have a relationship with him.  It equips children to manage their lives in a Christian way.  Ricki  Fowler himself is a product of Children’s Church, and these lessons means that in a world that has lost its’ way, our children will not lose their way.  Ricki then showed a video of Children’s Church.

Hymn 3.  If I Were A Butterfly Hymn 4.  Who Put The Colours In The Rainbow?
2015-02-28 David's Message to the children

The Message was given by David Silcox tailored to the children.  He addressed them at the front beginning be getting them to respond to words—David Beckham—football,  Frozen—film, Lady GaGa—weird, etc.!  Their response to ‘God is…’ included ‘Almighty’, ‘kind’, ‘holy’, and of course, ‘love’.  David encouraged everyone that this love of God is the attribute that means we are special, and that we can have this love in us and express it towards others.

The final Hymn was Give Me Oil In My Lamp after which the Closing Prayer was led by Irene Wilson

LUTON QUIZ NIGHT was once again a great success with over 50 people present at the quiz.  The evening began with a buffet supper followed by the quiz.  Dessert was enjoyed at half time as well as a substantial raffle before the Quiz carried on.  John & Daria Fowler do a wonderful job of the Quiz & Raffle, and the Luton ladies put on an excellent meal.
