There was a Lord’s Supper Service held on Thursday evening 2nd April.
This Service was held at 7:30pm in Garston Community Church.
We met this evening to participate in a service to remember who Jesus is and what he did for us. James Henderson led the whole service, saying We do this in Jesus’s memory until he returns. We are God’s beloved children and we must never forget that. Salvation is only through Christ.
The service included Foot-washing, which reminds us that we should always serve others before ourselves.
We took the Bread and Wine, which are symbolic of Christ’s body and blood. These were given out to us by Peter Beardsmore and James Esom.
Throughout the evening James Henderson read the following scriptures: John 12:26-32; Matthew 25:34-46; John 13:1-12; 1 Corinthians 10:16; Hebrews 9:11-14; John 3:16; 1 John 3:16; John 6:29-33; Matthew 26:26; John 6:48-51; Ephesians 1:7-14 and 1 Peter 1:14-21.
We sang three Hymns during the Service:
Wonderful Grace
There is a Redeemer
And the service ended with When I Survey the Wonderous Cross
James Henderson then closed in prayer.
