2016-02-27 Ross Jutsum in Watford 1

We welcomed Dr. Ross Jutsum to lead the Worship and give the Message today. Ross heads ‘State of the Heart Ministries’ and is a talented composer and musician and you can read more about him and his Ministry at:
Ross began by playing us a Jazz Trio Arrangement of To Go Be The Glory.
He led us in singing Holy, Holy, Holy and Great Is Thy Faithfulness.
After explaining the story behind the Global Hymn Sing, he played the video and led us in singing Facing A Task Unfinished. You can read more about this Global Hymn Sing at:

2016-02-27 Ross Jutsum in Watford 6 at the pianoDuring his ‘Musical Message’ Ross showed some slides of his lovely family. Both of his daughters serve in humanitarian and Christian mission. His daughter Heidi has a daughter and is expecting a son soon. His daughter Lisa is expecting twins soon. When you are involved in mission you often face danger and anxiety and Ross sang and played one of his songs No Worries, inspired by Matthew 6: 25-34 where Jesus says “Therefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” He went on to remind us of our Father’s love for each of us, echoed in his lullaby, A Mother’s Love, sung on CD by his wife, Tammy, who was unable to come on this trip.
2016-02-27 Ross Jutsum in Watford 5 Jazzy To God Be The GloryRoss continued his musical sermon with a theme of ‘Our Father Sings’, quoting the scripture in Zephaniah 3:17 which says God will, “rejoice over you with singing.” We learned his song, The Father Sings and sang along when we felt we could. The hero, the father in the Prodigal Son Parable, is a type of our Heavenly Father and cannot wait to welcome his children home, which we sang about in another of Ross’ songs, The Great Celebration. We are all called to be the hands, the eyes, the lips of Jesus wherever we are as emphasized in Matthew 25:35-45 where Jesus says, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” The song For The Least Of These reflected this in our worship.

The Final Song was Ross’ song Truly Amazing, after which Ross ended in Prayer and a Benediction.

Fellowship continued over Refreshments in the Church Hall.

There was no Young People’s Church this week.
