Hymn 4 – When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
Hymn 5 – My Shepherd will Supply my Need
The Message was given by Mr.Bergin entitled Forget about the Barns.
We all live busy lives today. It is good to hear about a person at the
top who takes time to be concerned for others. What does the Bible
actually say? We know it is the word of God and that he operates on a
higher plane. 2 Timothy 3:15-17. The Bible tells us what kind of person
we should be. God does not judge like a human, he looks into our hearts.
What does the Bible say about the world we live in? John 18:36.
Christ did not come to set up his Kingdom now, but to redeem the world. Acts 1:6-7. Jesus warns us in Luke 12:15, to beware of covetousness. Our lives should not just consist of an abundance of possessions. We must not let ourselves get caught up in the selfish standards of this world, where lying and adultery are now acceptable. This is enmity to God. James 4:4. We did not grow up in a world like this. It is becoming a Godless society. Our citizenship is in heaven, but we do have to live in this world before we can inherit the other. We must keep ourselves unspotted from this world. James 1:27. How should I live my life? Read the parable about the foolish man who just built bigger barns for all his goods. Luke 12:15-21. We should always be kind and caring people and practise graciousness. 1 Peter 4:10. Live your life in the grace of God and forget the barns, they are not important.
The Final Hymn was Here I am Lord, after which the Closing prayer was given by Chris Esom.
