David speaking in Watford 2016-08-27The Message was given by David Silcox on Christian body Building. We find in Romans 12 that we are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice and this is followed by urging us to use our various gifts to build up. We are not to be conformed to the world but transformed by the Spirit of God. If we look at the verses from 3-8 we find three areas of transformation or building up
HUMILITY is held up as we recognize who we are in Christ and honour others. We are blessed to be part of the body of Christ—the Church
UNITY There is one body in Christ comprised of many individual parts, each with its own role to play, with different gifts but we all depend on one another to work together
SERVICE Transformation produces ministry or service as each uses their giftedness to contribute to the health and effectiveness of the work of the body, it is a natural outflow of the grace of God
God has given each of us the capacity of ability to do what he asks us to do, and by exercising our God-given gifts
God will be glorified
Others will be edified and
You will be satisfied!

The final Hymn was We’ve A Story To Tell To The Nations after which the Closing Prayer was led by Mike Barlow

Fellowship continued over refreshments in the church hall.
