Hymn 3 – I Then Shall Live
Hymn 4 – Bring to the Lord

2015-11-07 James Henderson gives the SermonThe Sermon was given by James Henderson on the topic of Fear.  What are you afraid of? Dentists, snakes, flying or Public Speaking? Or maybe Brexit or the result of the election in America. We read in Isaiah 41:10 that God is always with us and we have no need to fear. God is eternally present and upholds and strengthens us with his
righteous right hand. Jesus is God’s right hand and that is what matters. Job suffered many tragedies and would not go out of the door because of fear. Job 31:34. Jeremiah called out to God from the lowest pit and God drew near and told him not to fear. Lamentations 3:55-57. That is the message throughout the Bible. God is always near when we call out to him for help. We must not fear the devil, but be faithful unto death and receive our crown of life. Revelation 2:10. Jesus will guard us from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3. Our life is hidden in Christ. Colossians 3:3. Nothing can separate us, not even Dementia. We are remembering all those who died in wars today. The fear that those we love will not make it into God’s Kingdom; the answer lies in the mercy of God. We must not let our hearts be troubled because God is preparing a place for us. John 14:1-2. Jesus will receive us. Verse 3. There is no fear in love. The perfect love of Jesus casts out fear. 1 John 4:17-18.

Mike Barlow gives the Sermon 2The Final Hymn was Make me a Channel of your Peace after which the Closing Prayer was given by Mike Barlow.
