Hymn 4 – God Speaks to Us
Hymn 5 – Shout to the Lord

2015-03-07 Cliff Neill gives the SermonThe Sermon was given by Cliff Neill on the subject of ‘The Word of God’
God spoke and the universe existed. He commanded with his voice. Psalm 33:6. We have a world of words locked up in books. Our tongues move as we speak those words. We read in John 1:1-4 about The Word, Logos. Like a sound bite in the air. Logos is a Greek word meaning a principle or force. God did, does or will do. The complete expression of God. Jesus is the perfect expression of God’s thoughts for mankind. Jesus is the Word and he became God in the flesh. Immanuel, God with us. He pulses throughout the universe. Hebrews 1:1-3. Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink. Isaiah 55:1. This is an invitation to salvation. Please read verses 2-11. John 4:14. Words and deeds go together. The word of God is living and powerful. Hebrews 4:12-16. Christians have the privilege of speaking his words. Things happen through prayer. Jesus now makes intercession for us before the throne of God. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. We will be with him in Glory. Please read Jude verse 24-25.
