Hymn 4 – Wonderful Grace
Hymn 5 – I Then Shall live

look at their culture at that time. Cliff spoke today about Luke 11:5-8. Hospitality was very important and a matter of honour to provide for a guest. It affected the reputation of the whole village. They must always help in time of need and it was an insult to refuse. Many people
travelled at night when it was cooler. We read in verse 5 that someone had arrived in the village at midnight at a friend’s home. That person could not provide food and woke up his friend to ask for help. That friend refused! He knew that if he persisted in asking, then his friend out of a sense of honour would come down and provide what was needed. If we read verses 1-4, we see that Jesus was teaching about prayer. God never slumbers or sleeps. He is always waiting to hear our prayers and will help us as he knows what is best for us. Read verses 9-13. Jesus is the human face of God. Never be afraid to pray or be afraid of his answer. Lay hold of his willingness and his tender love.
The Final Hymn was How Deep the father’s Love for us after which the Closing Prayer was given by James Esom.
Fellowship continued in the Church Hall over Refreshments.
Young People’s Church on the 11th March was taught by Goeff and Jean Sole. They reviewed Paul’s first missionary journey and then looked at a YouTube presentation of Paul’s second missionary journey. A Bible Atlas was explained to the young people. The lesson was characterised by many Bible-related enthusiastic questions.
