The Sermon was given by Mike Barlow. Jesus had to suffer and die to take away our sins. The people at the Temple in Jerusalem needed to buy animals to sacrifice for the Passover. Jesus drove them out. John 2:13-16. Jesus said “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up”. They did not realise he was speaking of the temple of his body. Verses 20 -21. After his ressurection, the disciples remembered what he had said and now understood. John 20:1-20. If Jesus had not risen then there is no point to life, it is futile. We have the hope that we too will rise from the dead. Read 1 Peter 1:3-9. Philippians 3:8-12. 1 Corinthians 15:50-58. One day there will be no more death and all can have eternal life through the power of God through Jesus. Revelation 20:1-6.
The Final Hymn was My Shepherd will Supply my Need after which the Closing Prayer was given by Sueann Henderson.
Following this service we all enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch prepared by Joy Barlow.
