Hymn 4Blessed Be Your Name
Hymn 5.  Dear Lord And Father Of Mankind

The Sermon was given by David Stirk, guest speaker from Northern Ireland.
God is love and we love him because he first loved us. God’s boundless love is a gift to mankind. The purpose of his love is relationship. We are a love-gift from the father to the Son. Malachi 3 says they shall be mind, says the Lord, my jewels! Jesus says in John 16:15 all things that the Father has are mine and John 6:37 that everything has been given to Jesus. We have been given by the Father to Jesus!
When we invest effort and time in something the value is greater—think what Jesus invested in us: his life and death on our behalf! That shows how much God values us John 3:16. Our suffering is part of our contribution; scripture says we participate in Christ’s suffering. With suffering we are bound together with one another and with Jesus. What kind of people would we be if there was no suffering? Our love is even expressed in suffering just as his was.
We are given to the Son and the Son is given to us. Love is a gift.

The final Hymn was Take My Life And Let It be, after which the Closing Prayer was led by Sueann Henderson

Fellowship continued over Refreshments in the church hall.
