PRAYER
While we are not gathering physically for Church Service, we gather together, God, in spirit to worship with a virtual service. We pray that God will bless you through this Service and in the coming week with his protection/healing, with encouragement, joy and the peace which passes understanding.
AMEN

It is easy to focus on our trials and the difficulties that the coronavirus and lockdown bring but it helps when we focus on our blessings. As you have heard before, you may be discouraged that your furniture is old and tatty until you see someone who has no home, the homeless. And, of course, this past week we have been reminded of Jesus sacrifice for our sin—the greatest blessing of all. Let’s take a moment to count our blessings in song:

HYMN NO. 1 – COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS – WCG 120

In trying times, when we feel deserted, helpless and alone, we turn to God, who always hears and always responds. The Speaking of Life is from Michelle Fleming entitled ‘Blessed Are The Forgiven’

God can see the future but we struggle with the present. Let’s ask Him to be our vision! In our next hymn, Be Thou My Vision

HYMN NO 2 – BE THOU MY WISDOM – WCG 14

We sang ‘Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word. His Word is what we look to for guidance and wisdom, for hope and encouragement. Today the Word is brought to us through the live-streaming Sermon.

We dwell in the shelter of the Most High—He is our refuge, our fortress and in Him we trust. Psalm 91 is such an encouraging Psalm: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+91&version=NIV

God says, he will answer when we call on him, he will rescue and deliver us and give us long life and salvation. We can stand on these promises. Our last hymn today is Standing On The Promises:

HYMN NO. 3 – STANDING ON THE PROMISES – WCG 278

PRAYER
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead, our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. (Hebrews 13:20-21)
Amen
