Sadly, there is still no way for us to meet together for Church Services, so we continue to supply this Virtual Service and hope that it will bring you peace, hope and love.

Friends of our were to have their wedding on 4 April, but of course this was not possible after the lockdown. They could have had a registry wedding with no guests but chose to wait until restrictions lifted so that their closest family and friends could share in their special day. They are planning a big reception in 2021 a year after, with a meal and dancing for those not able to join them this weekend. We wish them every blessing and happiness.

And so today, I have themed the Worship ~ FOR LOVE ~ as it is ‘for love’ that God created mankind and the beauty around us, it is ‘for love’ that he sent His Son to die for our sins, and it is ‘for love’ that we marry in a Type of this love of Jesus for His Bride, the Church.
Our first hymn was actually written by a mother for her daughter’s wedding and so we will sing ‘Be Thou their full assurance of tender charity, steadfast faith, patient hope and quiet brave endurance with childlike trust that fears not pain or death.~ that theirs may be the love which knows no ending, whom Thou forevermore dost join in one’:

I recently discovered a wonderful group of Christian songs written and sung by Ellie Holcomb. She writes that she just needed to sing the truth into the dark, and one of these songs is based on 1 Corinthians 13 ~ Love Never Fails:

Let’s sing a Hymn we all know based on these same words of Paul’s in God’s Word ~ IF I HAVE NOT CHARITY:

No matter what gifts and talents we have, no matter how much we know, or what sacrifices and good works we perform, without charity (love) is it FOR NOTHING, not FOR LOVE!
Dr. Joseph Tkach in SPEAKING OF LIFE talks about LOVE BY ANY OTHER NAME: https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AomXLRiRthW5KEM&cid=F88E6BA3E3C48F88&id=F88E6BA3E3C48F88%2116612&parId=root&o=OneUp

Christian service and many outreach projects, spring out of the love God gives to us. Let us love one another, for love comes from God! The true expression of love extends to all, friends and enemies alike. As we learned last week, one of the things we do FOR LOVE is to wear face masks so that we do not expose others to our germs! I saw this recently and it reminded me that God is love and we obey him FOR LOVE because he first loved us:

This picture shows an example of how NOT to show love:

If you are sinking into sin, let love lift you as we sing of in the next hymn:
LOVE LIFTED ME

Yes, God will lift you by His love. Charity rejoices not in iniquity but believes and rejoices in the truth. Let’s rejoice in the truth of God’s Word in the live-streaming Sermon:

I want to leave you with another version of 1 Corinthians 13 with Ross Jutsom’s song (and it gets in your head, so you’ll be singing it all day!) sung with his daughter when she was around 10 years old!
