We are pleased to be able to tell you that we have done the final checks to conform to the necessary COVID safety measures so that we can begin meeting together in person once again at St. Peter’s, in whose Church we meet, from 26th September. However, there are strict rules about the use of the Church. You MUST contact David Silcox david_silcox@wcg.org.uk to indicate that you plan to come, you can’t just turn up because numbers are limited. When you arrive you will need to give your name and contact number in case you need to be contacted if someone in the group on that day comes down with the coronavirus. You may bring a Bible for your own use (the pew Bibles have been removed) but please do not bring a cushion. You must wear a face covering at all times in the building an use the hand sanitiser at the door going in and going out. There will be hymns but you must sing them in your mind not aloud. Social distancing will be enforced and there is to be minimal socializing. There will be no refreshments.

I hope that this is not off-putting because it will be great to see one another, not just meet ‘virtually’ for the live-streaming messages. There will be a live sermon during the Service which begins at 11am. You will still be able to view the Sermon on the UK Church’s youtube channel, which you can access in the archive area on the home page of the webswite www.gracecom.church  The live-streaming messages are continuing at the moment. These are at 11am on each Saturday (there is another message broadcast each Sunday as well) via YouTube from the Church Service Centre in Market Harborough. There is also be a mid-week Bible study at 7.30pm on Wednesdays live-streamed. Note that YouTube does not require you to have a user account or download additional software. The links to upcoming broadcast will be available on the Church website www.gracecom.church These live-stream messages will also be uploaded as videos (and audio files) for people who are not able to join at the time the broadcast and here is the link to past broadcasts:  https://gracecom.church/media/live_stream_archive/index.php
These options will make it possible for you to join others to worship together virtually even after our regular meetings have been resumed.

Although the Bricket Wood Bible Studies are still postponed at the moment, there will be a Bible Study available on Wednesdays at 7:30pm. Please find the link on the home page of www.gracecom.church

The next Bible Study is scheduled for Wednesday 30 September 2020 and can be accessed at 7:30pm that day on a link on the home page of www.gracecom.church

Saturday 26 September 2020 at 11am in St. Peter’s church, Watford.
There will be worship with Speaking of Life, hymns (to watch & listen to), inspirational items/scripture reading, Sermon and prayers. Please let David Silcox know if you plan to attend.

September 28 Monday Second Autumn Festival Day
There will be a Church Service meeting at St. Peters on this day and this Service will be zoomed as well if you would like to view the Sermon but are not able to attend. The same safety precautions will be taken for this Service, that is you need to let David Silcox know if you plan to attend and upon arrival give contact and trace name and telephone. You will need to wear a mask and not sing. There will be no refreshments and you will need to observe the strict one way systems and social-distancing.

October 3-10 Annual Autumn Harvest Festival
The National Ministry Team made the following announcement on 7 August 2020:
Following on from having to cancel both the Galway and Bridlington Celebrations, we now sadly have to announce that the Paignton Celebration cannot go ahead. In discussions with Beverley Holidays they have made it clear that the current government guidance in England would mean that we would not be able to use their hall or facilities for meetings and similar challenges would remain in trying to find an alternative venue near Beverley Bay. Beverley Holidays have requested that we re-assure those who have booked with them that they will find solutions for their bookings, including transferring deposits to a different date or issuing refunds. They are currently experiencing a very high call volume due to the COVID-19 crisis and ask that if you need to contact them you use email where possible.
The good news is that while we may not be able to meet physically in our autumn celebrations, we are committed to providing a time to celebrate our Heavenly Father in praise and worship, to study his word, and to fellowship with one another. To this end we hope to provide resources and material using our Youtube channel and Zoom from Saturday the 3rd of October through to Sunday the 11th of October. While you may not be able to attend our Celebrations in Galway, Paignton and Bridlington, it is our hope that using the technology available our celebrations may be able to come to you. Our theme of “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1) remains the same and we will announce more details of our plans in the coming weeks.

Further to this announcement, if you had a prior booking for this October Festival 2020 at Beverley Park, Paignton, please mention the Festival when you contact them and they have made provision to 1-honour your present booking, 2-refund in full, or 3-transfer your booking and deposit to next years’ Festival dates Tuesday 21-Tuesday 28 SEPTEMBER 2021. The Welcome Service would be on Monday evening 20th September and the Last Day is Tuesday 28th when there would normally be morning and afternoon Services.

Joyful Musical Evenings are planned on Zoom, Tuesday 6th & Thursday 8th October
Can you sing, play a musical instrument, recite a favourite poem, even share a few jokes? In the absence of being able to physically meet together and to share music for the Autumn Celebrations this year, here are opportunities to come together virtually on Zoom and to be creative with music and fellowship.
Tuesday 6th October will focus on Praise and Worship music, Hymns, Psalms, Spiritual Songs and prayer. Contact Geoff Stillwell if you would like to be involved in contributing to this event (anyone can zoom in to watch/listen)(email: geoffgcic@gmail.com or phone: 07788 202489).
‘Souper Thursday’ (8th October) can include secular music, classical or popular and poetry. Contact Shirley McLean (email: mclean@musician.org or phone: 01442 780783)
We encourage you to bring cheese and wine to ‘Praise and Worship Tuesday’ and a mug of soup to ‘Souper Thursday’.  We will need recorded contributions for consideration in advance. This could be a simple mobile phone video or audio recording. Please do not email audio or video files.
P.S. Why wait?
Did you know that live weekly Praise and Worship evenings already take place online every Tuesday from London, and Luton is launching monthly ‘Souper Thursdays’ starting on 10th September? Details may be obtained from Shirley or Geoff.

A full schedule of virtual activities are planned including a live-streamed sermon each day at 11am beginning Saturday 3rd October up to and including Sunday 11 October. We hope you can join for prayer meetings, sermons, a quiz, seminars, musical evenings and many other activities provided on youtube or Zoom. A schedule will be available soon.
