There was a Church Service in St. Peter’s Church as usual at 11am on 17 October 2020, with 23 present wearing masks and socially-distanced as required by law. Despite not being allowed to sing the hymns or have a cup of tea afterwards, everyone was just so pleased to be meeting in person.

The Opening Prayer was given by Reg Newton
Announcements were given by David silcox

Sueann Henderson was the worship leader and led hymns projected from the Overhead Projector and accompanied by singing on CDs. The hymns were:
Love Divine, all Love’s Excelling
Be Thou My Vision

What A Friend We Have in Jesus

The King of Love My Shepherd Is

George Henderson led Intercessory Prayer

The Sermon was given by Francis Bergin and looked at our focus in this time of pandemic and crises. He reminded us that our plans are in God’s hands, that crises show how weak and frail is humanity and how much we depend on God. Crises allow us to take stock and examine our priorities but they should also remind us of our hope for the future, which is sure

The final hymn was In Christ Alone and the Closing Prayer was given by James Esom

We look forward to meeting again next Saturday.
Remember that if you intend to attend you must let Irene or David know because we are only allowed 27 people for our Services at the moment.
