Church at home!

With all of London and Hertfordshire now in Tier 4, although technically Churches are allowed to meet, the Church Council have decided to have only on-line Zoom Services for the time being. We will let you know when we plan to meet in person once again.

The plan is to Zoom our Service each Saturday even after we begin meeting in person again, and the link to join is: Launch Meeting – Zoom However, there are other GCI UK congregations also providing Zoom services and you will be able to find these zoom links on the UK Church website if you would like to join up with them.

When we do begin to meet in person again, remember that you MUST contact David Silcox to indicate that you plan to come, you can’t just turn up because numbers are limited. When you arrive you will need to use the sanitizer and then give your name and contact number in case you need to be contacted if someone in the group on that day comes down with the coronavirus. You may bring a Bible for your own use (the pew Bibles have been removed) but please do not bring a cushion. You must wear a face covering at all times in the building and use the hand sanitiser at the door going in and going out. There will be hymns but you must sing them in your mind and heart, not aloud. Please remember we still need to observe social distancing and note the one-way system within the church. There will be no refreshments. I hope that this is not off-putting because it will be great to see one another, not just meet ‘virtually’ for zoom Services and the live-streaming messages.

The Saturday sermons on the UK Church’s youtube channel have finished but you can still tune in to the Sunday messages at 11am by going to the home page of the Church website  and clicking on the links there. The mid-week Bible study at 7.30pm on Wednesdays is also set to continue live-streamed. *Note that YouTube does not require you to have a user account or download additional software. The links to upcoming broadcast are also available on the Church website.  These live-stream messages will also be uploaded as videos (and audio files) in the archive for people who are not able to join at the time the broadcast and here is the link to past broadcasts:
These options will make it possible for you to join others to worship together virtually until and even after our regular meetings have been resumed.
